Here's the method I'm using that is waaay easier, and fyi I'm using a legit NTSC US 3DS retail cart version of Pokemon Sun. I've seen a bunch of tutorials around talking about extracting your saves and decrypting via a couple different 3DS save managing homebrews that require several steps, and imo are a bit more complicated that necessary.
